Werthers Caramels Smores

Growing up, my sisters favorite treat was to suck on a classic, buttery Werthers Original. She loved how they were wrapped in gold, like little coins or treasures, waiting to be unwrapped and discovered. I always liked the classic candy. Theres something so surprisingly delicious that takes you off guard each time you pop one into your mouth. Still, Im a soft-caramel girl at heart, so when Werthers launched a line of soft caramels several years ago, I nearly somersaulted down the aisles of the grocery store. Does life get any better than golden-wrapped soft caramels? Me thinks not.

To truly celebrate the sweet, buttery flavor of Werthers Caramels, try this supremely easy graham cracker Smores recipe. Delicious and simple!

Werthers Caramel Smores

• 2 graham crackers
• 2 Werthers Originals Creamy Caramels
• 1 square chocolate
• 1 large marshmallow (optional)

Unwrap the caramels and place them on of the graham crackers. Top with marshmallow (if youre including it in your recipe) and place on a paper plate in the microwave. Zap for 15-20 seconds. Press chocolate onto melted marshmallow. Top with graham cracker. Serve and enjoy!

3-ingredient Graham Cracker Eye Ball Bites

Boo! Thats right, Halloween is coming up and it is time to start thinking about all things frightful and fun in the kitchen. This year Ive been experimenting with tons of new things and one of them are these awesome graham crack eyeballs. I based the idea on my favorite method for 3-ingredient Oreo truffles, but using graham crackers instead. I dont necessarily think that graham crackers make it all so much healthier, but I love the flavor of graham crackers and this way it isnt quite the deluge of chocolate that comes from Oreos. Here is how you can make your own spooky eyeballs!

3 Ingredient Graham Cracker Eye Ball Bites

8 ounces cream cheese

1 box Honey Graham crackers

4 ounces white chocolate, or semisweet chocolate, melted

Red food paste or decorating gel paste

1. Place the crackers in a food processor and pulse until they are fine crumbs. Add the cream cheese and pulse again until a sticky dough forms. Use your hands to form the dough into 1 round balls and place them on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper. Place them in the fridge to chill for at least 2 hours or up to 1 day.

2. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave. Scoop about 1/4 cup of the melted chocolate into a bowl and dye red with the food paste. You can skip this step if you are using the decorating gel paste. Roll the chilled truffles in the chocolate until they are completely coated, then place them back on the lined cookie sheet. Chill them in the refrigerator until they are set, about 1 more hour. Then, use a toothpick to dollop a red circle on the bites and draw red bloodshot lines out from them to make creepy eyes.

Upsidedown Gooey Peanut Butter Bars

Remember those classic 7-Layer Bars of yesteryear? This new version is even easier, tastier, and super crazy delicious. Just 6 ingredients and 5 minutes is all you need to put it all together. Bake and let cool slightly before delving into this masterpiece of gooey chocolate, salted peanut butter, and sheer dessert heaven.

Upsidedown Gooey Peanut Butter Bars

• 4 cups crushed graham crackers
• 1 cup peanut butter, melted with 1/2 cup butter and 1/4 cup sugar
• 1 bag good-quality dark chocolate chips
• 1 can sweetened condensed milk

Line an 811 baking sheet with parchment paper. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a large bowl, use a fork to combine the crushed graham crackers, melted peanut butter, butter, and sugar. Press into the bottom of prepared dish. Spread chocolate chips over the crust. Drizzle sweetened condensed milk on top. Bake 25-30 minutes, or until the top layer is a golden brown. Remove and cool completely before slicing and serving.
