Im not gonna lie its the accessories that are my favorite part of the Thanksgiving feast. I love the cranberries sweet and jammy, I pile far too much on my plate. Every year I make two kinds one sweet and citrusy, the other tangy and chutney-like you can never have too many leftovers, particularly when they are such an essential part of the leftover turkey sandwich. Bonus: cranberry sauce keeps well, so you can make it in advance, and store leftovers for ages. It freezes well, too. If youre charged with bringing the cranberries, here are a few ways to get creative even if youre not skilled in the kitchen.
Ruby Port Cranberry SauceIf you want something easy to make but extra-special, try this thick, intense sauce made with port. Its the perfect consistency, and the port isnt overwhelming.
