When Im entertaining I spend a lot of time making sure every detail is covered. This includes a desire to make all food and drinks not only taste delicious but look pretty on the table. When you chill wine bottles in ice you run the risk of the wine label peeling off from the moisture. It can be unsightly and messy.
To avoid this, I place the bottles individual Hefty bags and then place the wine in the ice.I like using the smaller bags so my guests dont see them in the wine cooler or ice chest. But if you are worried about the ice getting into the bag, you can use a larger size Hefty slider bag. Your wine will be ice-cold and your labels will remain where they belong on the bottle!
