Chocolate Hazelnut Spread
Thats my biggest weakness! And how could it not be? How about quietly sharing a slice of this Nutella pizza with me?

Cheese Balls
I can't believe I'm going to admit this publicly! I bought one of those big tubs of cheese balls for my daughter's birthday party over the summer. There was about a quarter of it left, and I holed up with a good TV show and ate the whole thing after they went to bed!

Chocolate
Chocolate chips, chocolate chip cookies, chocolate brownies. Anything chocolate. I hide in the pantry, and eat it so they don't see!

Cheesecake
Oh, that's easy. Cheesecake. I should qualify that and say that I don't let our daughter see me eating it with the total abandon and joy with which I want to eat it. I adore the stuff and it might be the one thing that I'd go so far to say that not only do I not let her see me eat it, I don't even let her know it's in the house so I don't have to share.

Ice Cream out of the Carton
My husband and I don't like to see our son eating a lot of sugar (and, of course, we shouldn't eat a lot of sugar either), but we have a little ritual a mini-date, if you will. Occasionally, while I put our little boy to bed, my husband sneaks off to the neighborhood ice cream shop and picks up a pint of ice cream. They use mostly local and organic ingredients and don't use additives, and they have lovely flavors: blackberry cardamom, black sesame, avocado ginger, chili chocolate with bourbon cherries. When he returns home, we snuggle into bed, pop on a DVD and eat ice cream out of the container.

Apple Fritters
I let her see me eat everything. I want her to learn that we can all indulge a little. But I might not let her see how many apple fritters I actually eat when she's not looking

Dark Chocolate with Peanut Butter
I am an open book ... So my kids see everything I eat. But a simple guilty pleasure of mine is dipping a chunk of dark chocolate straight into the peanut butter jar.

Poached Pear Crumble with Chocolate
I say everything in moderation. I generally dont cook anything that my kids cannot enjoy with me. However I do prefer they dont consume caffeine so will generally limit any dessert that has coffee in it such as this poached pear crumble with chocolate, coffee and nuts.

Black and White Cookies
My kids pretty much see me eat anything I don't hide it from them. We talk about things being good in moderation. That said, I have a deep love for cookies. Lots and lots of cookies. Moderation goes right out the door. I may tell them they can only have one cookie, then I seem to eat the rest! Though I have many favorites, the ones I'm the most powerless against are actually Black and Whites! Though I've never had the "real" deal from NYC myself, it's probably a good thing since I get into enough trouble making them at home!

Aloo Bonda
Hmm ... Thats a tough one as I usually let my little one eat everything that we eat. But pressed, its got to be these Aloo Bonda, a spiced potato balls coated in spicy chickpea flour batter and deep-fried to golden perfection! I cant resist these deep fried goodies, and always end up eating two, three and some more Well, who wants to keep the count when one is indulging?! :)

Flourless Chocolate Cake with Halvah Honey Sauce
We try to pretend as if we only eat treats at dessert time, too (the house rule). She will eventually figure out we just eat cookies and ice cream in the afternoon when shes either napping or at school. But she hasnt yet.

Potato Chips
I freely tell my daughter that I can't buy chips because I don't want them in the house. If there is a bag of salty chips I will surely eat them in a day! I even know how to make homemade chips but rarely do because it is so dangerous.

Nothing as long as its in moderation
There's not really anything that's off limits. We're more of a moderation kind of crew around here. If we get a cupcake, we share, and we each have a couple bites. Since so much of my work revolves around sweets and baking, there's always something dessert-y in the house, and my daughter is smart--she knows where to look for the goods!

Midnight Snacks
Mike and I will eat a late-night snack together after the kids are asleep maybe twice a week while watching reality TV shows. It's pretty awesome when you find someone that will eat burritos with you while watching Chef Ramsay yell and the kids are sound asleep. It's just one of many reasons I married him.

Treats from America
Because I live abroad in Ireland, every now and then someone will send me a care package with some goodies from back home, things like Girl Scout cookies, American candy bars or canned pumpkin at Thanksgiving. Those promptly get hidden away to be enjoyed the way only an expat can my Irish-born kids just don't appreciate them!

Bacon
My guilty, hide-my-food pleasure is bacon. If my tweens and teens see me cooking the stuff, it's already inhaled before the pan has had a chance to cool. I typically hide some for myself and then leave enough on the plate for everyone else to enjoy its smoky, chewy goodness. However, when everyone else is gone, my bacon plate comes out and I recline and while noshing bacon with my pinkie finger outstretched like a true aristocrat.

Sour Gummy Candy
Dare I reveal my secret stash? You know those little sour candies that turn sweet once you spend a few seconds eating them? They are by far my favorite guilty pleasure. My brother turned me on to them a couple years back when he brought a big container to my house for consumption over the holidays. Ive been hooked ever since.
